Web Design

A Baker Design is mostly a web site redesign and maintenance studio; I usually coordinate the look and feel of a brand specifically for internet marketing, as well as making sure a site is coded well in the background. My designs are made for the web, and enhanced with formal art and graphics training.

I love to work with designs that are artistic and eye-catching, and work with an open mind, approach projects thoughtfully and meticulously. My ideal project is to team up with a designer and/or business manager to come up with site goals, and create a design concept to meet those objectives. The design is refined and approved, and perhaps a wire frame is built with templates and content. Then work begins to code the basic site. I use current web standards, make the design and code flexible for future improvements, and ensure it's easy for people to understand and access.

Graphic Design

Using Photoshop, I'm skilled with image optimization, retouching, and even completely re-working an original graphics file. I also can build a site or email from layered Photoshop files.

Project Management

I worked for several years as a web project manager and (before my web career) as a newspaper writer and photographer. This combination of communication expertise rounds out my more technical site design and development skills.
